We reached out with a problem statement. They helped us come to a scope of the solution with every single item required to arrive at the goal and objectives we had. They helped us in building app scraper utilities and tools that pull in data of the shortlisted products from various ecommerce marketplaces. The data would be then dumped in the central data store and reports being generated in real time. The analytics dashboard was super intuitive. The technologies used were a combination of cloud and web based frameworks.
Their ability to understand the problem statement and come up with effective solutions was commendable. They were highly efficient. As a lay man to the technology side, I found it very easy to communicate with them which is seldom the case when you work with experts in the field.

We wanted to build an ecommerce analytics web application that allows us to monitor the pricing and other related information of our products and compete on various 3rd party commerce marketplaces in real time. The goal was to identify a team who understands this space, has knowledge on building enterprise systems with security, integrations and support required in place. Also we had certain needs of processing a lot of data at scale so having everything on cloud was a must.

Team's knowledge and understanding is amazing. We reached out with a problem statement that was little bit complex and time sensitive. We wanted to build an enterprise communication app for our upcoming internal event. The app though was limited for the users, developing features like support for audio/video content, two-way video calling and chat amongst users was crucial to it's success. Since we had a fixed timeline to follow, we wanted to work with a partner who understands our challenges and builds a solution that works. We were more than pleased with outcome. Everyone on the team was excited with the outcome. Team went above and beyond to ensure the experience is top class.

From the start the folks at Raftlabs gave us confidence that we made the right decision choosing them as a partner.
By starting our project with a full discovery process that providing us with a complete breakdown of the project deliverables gave us insight we didn't have coming in to the project. We literally could have taken that breakdown and use it to hire another development team. That is how thorough it was. We were able see exactly how everything would play out and where we may run into problems.
All of the sprints were completed on schedule and on budget. Though we had to pause the project due to Covid they were willing to work with us

We had a great experience working with RaftLabs where their team took their time to understand our project goals. Furthermore the team was very helpful with the strategy giving some great ideas on how the solution should work. Communication was good as we had access to the team on Slack and Zoom at all times. Overall I would highly suggest working with RaftLabs they have a great team and work very well.

- They were able to deliver the project under budget and within the project time frame
- The team were very knowledgeable and able to offer great insights during the strategy phase

- I think overall there wasn't anything I could point out to change if I was to do the project again

Our startup is working on an unproven business model, and have not yet found product market fit. There were plenty of changes and product iterations throughout the development, but the Raftlabs team showed ownership and initiative in helping us guide the product from the technical standpoint.
The Raftlabs team and us work on a different timezone, and there were issues with communication. However we worked to improve on implementing asynchronous communication from both sides.

RaftLabs is a SaaS applications and custom software development company. We focus on building lovable web and mobile apps in the marketing tech and media streaming space. My role in the organization is to build business relationships with our customers, partners, and vendors.
What is the story behind starting this company?
We are a startup turned software development agency. As founders, we have always been inclined toward building scalable SaaS products and solutions. Having built software products for Fortune 500 in our previous roles as product heads, under RaftLabs we came together to make a SaaS web and mobile app solution for events and communities. In 2020, the pandemic changed the dynamics, and we formally opened ourselves as an agency. Since then, we are on a mission to leverage our knowledge to help build lovable SaaS and custom software solutions for our customers.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have our own in-house team.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
As product builders ourselves, we're intensely focused on building things that we understand. Instead of working as a vendor, we work with our clients as partners. We own a lot of technical decision-making on their behalf, helping them focus on their business. We’re an outcome-driven agency as opposed to the output.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We cater to the marketing, commerce, and media tech industries. We build live or on-demand video communications solutions for workplaces, healthcare, or education. In the marketing and commerce space, we create loyalty and rewards platforms, commerce workflow solutions, etc.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Most of our clients approach us for end-to-end product discovery, UX/UI design services, and building web and mobile apps.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
We're not perfect. While we strive for a 100% satisfaction rate, we would be about 90% on customer satisfaction. We've built technical and managerial processes and systems that adapt to customers' requirements and resource availability. It makes it personalized and delivers output.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
We're a customer-centric company. We generally ensure our customers get value from us in everything they engage us on. We've tools and processes in place by which our team promptly responds back to our customers for any queries or challenges.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We generally work on a milestone deliverables basis with startups and growth-stage companies. With established businesses, we augment their teams with our dedicated resources, for which we charge in the T&M model.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Yes. We generally engage with projects which have minimum budget north of USD 25,000. However, we take a final decision based on the interactions with customers. There have been instances where we have done projects less than our minimum budget.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
In 2021, the range varied from as low as USD 12,000 to as high as USD 1,00,000+.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
In 10 years, we as RaftLabs would want to be a technology platform and accelerator company that allows us to innovate deeply, enabling us to become long-term stakeholders in the solutions that we build for our customers.
